If any newcomer hasn't read this book I would advise them to snap up the last few copies. I recieved it as a Christmas present in 2005 and it was read from cover to cover before Boxing day, I could not put it down once I started to read it. The book made me realise just how much we as Dexter owners are indebted to people like Beryl who kept the breed alive before most of us had even known of its existance.
Once again, thank you Beryl and others for your hard work and dedication to a breed that we all love and care for.

Thank you for all the kind compliments, the real hero is the little Dexter itself, which has inspired so many to do much on its behalf. I owe a debt of gratitude to Duncan who rushed in and generously made the book available over here, today I believe he is the only source with any copies left. I have had a wonderful return in the feed back from enthusiastic Dexter owners all over the world.

Duncan, is there any copies left?

I would so much want to read it, but I realize it would cause you some hassle to send it to me in Sweden. If you could do it I would be very grateful. If not I understand.. (The easiest way would probably be to check what a letter sent by post would cost, and add that with some margin to the £12.80. Then I could pay to your bank account through my Internet bank, if I have the name of the bank, a clearing number and the account number at least I think it would be viable.)

Received my copy on Saturday (Thanks Duncan)

Just a few comments:

It's written in short chapters so can be picked up if you've a spare ten minutes. However DON'T. Unless you've got a few hours going begging, leave it alone! Like the Dexters themselves it's addictive - once started I didn't put it down until I'd finished. Who needs Saturday evening tv anyway?!?

As a comparative newcomer to the world of Dexters it's good to be able to read (and learn) about other people's experiences with Dexters and this is not just an experience - it's a lifetime with lots of information that will come in handy.

Of course, this discussion board has loads of information on it but there's only so long a body can stare at a screen whereas with Beryl's book all you need is a cuppa/dram, a cosy corner and ......bliss.

Anyway, I'm now going to read it again (at least ten times) and put it on my shelf where I'll be able to refer to it time and time again.

One last thing...

THANKS BERYL.
