Adding pics for sale

Post by monica a waltho »

Hi,
I have tried usually unsucessfully to get photos with my cattle for sale ads and wondered if this site is different as I can upload to send pics in emails and on other sites such as preloved but it never seems to work on here.
Any help gratefully recieved !!

Try reducing the size down to 400px x 300px approx, I seem to believe I had the same problem when i tried to send some photo's. Mark may reply with a different solution.

Most computers with windows has a program called 'Paint', right click on the image you want to resize and there should be an 'open with' option. Click that & paint should be included in the list of options. When you've opened the image in paint there is a 'resize' button on the 'home' tab at the top, click this & a box will appear. Make sure the 'maintain aspect ration' option is checked along with the By percentage (as opposed to pixels). Enter 50 in either of the vertical or horizontal figures and it should make it half as big. Alternatively, if you know the physical dimensions of the image you are hoping for just select the 'pixels' option and change accordingly, but ensure the maintain aspect ratio is checked or you'll end up with a squashed image. If you're still having trouble feel free to e-mail me (info@rosewoodfarms.co.uk) & I'll do it.
