Can anyone clarify the ruling about showing young bulls? We have a young 10 month old bull we would like to show. He is birt notified but not registered. Can he be entered into a show on his birth notification number?
If not, do we have to register him and go through the procedure of having him parent varified before we take him into a show?
thanks

The society decided to lapse the rule last year so that in order to get young bulls into the showring they do not have to be fully registered. I am not sure if it was under 12 months or 18 months, certainly 18 months onwards and they need to be registered.
I will try to clarify the situation.

Re: showing young bulls
Hi Ted, if a young bull goes to the sale still on its mother it would be ok not to be fully registered. If it is sold seperately then it would require full registration and parent verification.
Hope this helps

Re: showing young bulls
Thanks for clarifying the bull situation Mark...young bulls can be shown up to 12 months on their notification number...after that they have to be fully registered.
