We are (hopefully!) going to Newark Show tomorrow. I applied for my calfs passport when he was born so he can accompany his mum to the show. I phoned BCMS today as it still hadn't arrived to see if they could track it.
The BCMS operater told me it was printed and dispatched on April 30th (Hurrah!) HOWEVER as they are printed in Ireland, passports could be greatly delayed due to the volcanic ash situation and no/few flights from Ireland.
There is a possibility of it in tomorrows post or else cow and calf will have to stop at home.
How strange that a passport will travel further than the animal!
Best Wishes Lisa

P.S To any Dexter exhibiters going to Newark, don't forget to pack your dancing shoes. We have some very good moo(vers) and shakers within the breed society-you know who you are!!!

It is almost unbelievable that British passports are printed in the Republic of Ireland. How will we ever get out of recession if we export jobs which really should be done at home.
