Firstly I would like to say this about NVZ calcs
:( ??? and having spent the afternoon working through I npow feel like :p
Now I have got that off my chest has anyone got anywhere with this? Surely Dexters produce less manure than the 'normal' larger breeds therefore it will take someone with Dexters longer to reach their N limit. I suspect th same goes if you have Shetland ponies, Soays or herds of Kune Kune pigs roaming your fields.
Reading through the regs it would appear that for the muck heap for the horses (5 of them) we ought to have a fully drained concrete floored, roofed construction capable of holding 6 months worth never mind any other stock we may have. Another example of a 'suit' somewhere having a bright idea with absolutely no idea of the cost to the end user.
I think I might do nothing and plead smallholder ignorance with a plate of our best chocloate biscuits!!
Grumpy of Devon!
