Hi

Although we are happy to use tyme oil to treat ring worm, i noticed that Intervets make a vaccine called Bovilis Ringvac which can also treat ring worm as well. Has anyone ever used this or know anything about it?
Because a vaccine really would save me a lot of time trying to catch dexters to treat.

For full details try http://www.noahcompendium.co.uk/Interve....64.html which is on the NOAH webside compendium of all data sheets of all licenced veterinary medicines.

Ringvac has been around for some time, and when if first came out was supposed to be used before there were any cattle showing signs. Very difficult. BUT it is now licenced for treatment as well at increased doses. It is reputed to be very effective. Being a POM you will need to get it from your vet or get a prescription for it from your vet, but this should ensure that the vet goes into its use thoroughly with you.
