I don't expect Beryl to text me back, just wondered whether the messages might be getting through as I have not been able to speak to her since before Christmas. Glad to get feedback on this site that she is cheery when with friends, as I have been concerned with the progress reports from the hospital.

I have just spoken to the ward sister who tells me that Beryl is very poorly and very weak, they don't expect her to recover now.

I cannot find words to type and am going to give the cows a pile of hay to keep them going and then get in the car.
