Do Dexter horns need training to shape or allow to grow naturally

Horn training never was a nice business. Many Ayrshire cows with show potential spent much of their lives with their horns strained against frames, pulled up out or whatever by weights and pulleys hung from the rafters. I would not advise anyone to go there. So few are shown with horns in any case it will be unlikely to make any difference to the prize list.
