Now that the EGM has decided to retain twelve members for Council and there is no question mark about my own place. I would like all members anywhere to be aware that in the event that they feel they do not have access to a representative I am prepared to act and put up to Council any complaint or suggestion regardless of my own views on the subject and having ensured that it is considered and discussed will come back with an answer. I can be contacted by letter, telephone or e-mail. For the last my address can be obtained from the secretary who has been asked to pass it on to any bona fide member.
I intend putting a note in the next Bulletin meanwhile I would be glad if readers here would spread the word

And folks we have that in writing.

Congratulations Beryl, with your experience of all things Dexter, you are an asset to our brand new board of trustees, and to us ordinary (and a few extraordinary) members . Sue

Much appreciate Beryl's offer, it's always humbling going through records in the old herd books and seeing the Woodmagic entry.
Which leads me to my request. Would it be possible to enquire into the logistics of turning the herd books, when they are out of print, into PDF files that anyone, anywhere, could download for a suitable fee. Valerie Roberts of the Vycanny herd very kindly allowed me to photocopy her herd books from 1948 onwards, and I managed to buy a set of the 1930's, but I'm missing most of the 1940's and the 1920's/earlier. Looking on the Wanted section of this site, it appears that even comparatively recent herd books are becoming hard to obtain.

An excellent idea, which I will certainly take forward. I could make use of it myself since I only have them for the period since I joined. I would ask for a bi of patience since council has a lot of backlog to make up, and I would not want to appear to be trying to hog proceedings

I have only just seen all this and regretably couldn't attend the meeting. I've looked on the DCS website and I can't find anything about what happend--am I looking in the wrong spot? I'm probably missing the obvious but it seems that the only information I can get is on this website.
Delighted that Rutherford is on the board.
Seems that we can get faster info on Dexter prices than on what has happened at the DCS meeting--maybe that is a positive thing--dexters first and other things secound!!
Still having had a very positive run of calves over the summer everything looks rosy.

Chris - the report is under the heading 'Society News', a bit confusing since the older ones are all under 'Council Matters'
