cleaning milk equipment

I thought I would start a new "milking" thread just to get some ideas on details. I would be interested in knowing what other people use to clean their milk bucket and other utensils. My friend is using an iodine solution that is sold for use in the pubs for washing glasses. Also, what do you use for straining the milk? My friend uses a coffee filter with stainless steel mesh.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. It main seem like simple stuff but for someone new, this is all pretty important!
