Thought I'd do as I was told and birth notify and do Herd Return survey as instructed - couldn't access the DCS website. Is it down or is it me?

Hi Sylvia looks like the dcs site is down at the moment, probably just a temporary thing.

15.05 still won't work for me. I had to change a couple of things to get onto the BCMS site recently after updating to Internet Explorer 7 (I think!) but I've followed all the instructions and it still won't work.

I am using internet explorer 7 now too and did my return a few days ago. I logged on just now to check and thought at first I was not getting on, then at the third try noticed that I had not put my email address in as well as the member numsber and passport. I always seem to forget to do that and think I am not getting on. The sad bit is I never remember what happened the last time till it happens again.

Here's a message from Breed Secretary Yvonne:

'I’ve had a few calls over the last few days asking why they can’t get into the online herd survey. Without exception this is because members need to go to "Manage Your Herd" before putting in their details.'

PS. From me, the domain www.dextercattlesociety.co.uk has expired and will be renewed in due course. Use the www.dextercattle.co.uk as Mark says.

Well Clive it hasn't expired down here yet. I went on it yesterday and again just now to see having read your message. I just click on dexter cattle society and it is there??? mind you I am no computer whizz kid but I am sure it is ok as I went on Manage your herd as well just for curiosity seems O K. There is some info there for those other than you Clive, as you already know, from the steering comm as well to keep people up to date. Thanks

Hi Rob - What you are seeing could be the cache stored on your computer or somewhere else, and not the actual website. The domain name "dextercattlesociety.co.uk" was suspended as of 30 Oct 07. Unless you're following a link? I have seen a link somewhere that says "dextercattlesociety.co.uk" but it's actually to "dextercattle.co.uk".

I have no difficulty in accessing the DCS site but can some of you experts tell me why I cannot see the full width of the screen on my monitor. I have to shift back and forth on the scroll bar to read each line. Very annoying.
