Hello

I have actually written to Radio 4 Today programme regarding this matter and given my / our opinions, and have pointed out that a similar story applies to BSE and that grass-fed, or certainly Dexter's, have never had a case, etc, etc.

I've written it in such a way so that it might be taken note of and read out in the bits & pieces section, but I have my doubts.

I would dare to suggest that if the study was done in the USA, the hormones that they are allowed to feed to their beef animals (and chicken) could be the culprits for an increase in not just breast cancer, but a whole range of cancers and allergies.

Also the over use of antibiotics in animal feed has to have a negative effect on meat consumers.

I agree. I cannot believe that eating something totally natural, that we were designed to eat, can be bad for you, if done in moderation. It seems illogical to me.

Routine use of selective breeding [for outright growth], growth promoters, vaccines, antibiotics & anthelmintics can also have the effect of supressing the animals natural immune defences, and some organisms, while not causing visible disease in the living animal, could have a negative effect on the eating quality or immune response of the consumer.
