Bursea Badger as pictured in the 1985 herd book. I can't claim to have seen Badger in person but I recognised the name and checked my 1980's herd books. She was a chunky looking heifer. I see your herd is described as "privately milk recorded" - I did record a few of mine in the late 1980's early 1990's

Your Ben Loyal would be one of the Shootlands bulls, another name from the past which was a big influence on the breed.

We have two heifers by a Danish bull who has Ben Loyal twice at four generations back, through Ben Lomond. That makes our heifers 3 greats and a grand, twice, equals 1/16th Ben Loyal!!
