Cow Livery

Post by Jac »

Received an enquiry from an ex society member who is in need of someone to look after her small herd comprising one castrate and one jersey\dexter cow both quiet and well behaved (no history of TB on farm). Lady is not expecting someone to keep them for free and will pay the 'going rate' (whatever that is). May not be a 'short term' thing as she is moving house. Can anyone out there help or know someone who is able?

Where are they in the country?

I assume if they were near you - they would stay with you???

They are in currently in Powys (Machynlleth) but lady has own transport. Health scheme does not permit boarders but in any case, I do not have spare acreage /buildings for any more having taken on (against my better judgement) a Welsh Cob. Might suit someone who doesn't currently have cattle but wants to give it a go without the financial commitment?
