What a difference a year makes...

Post by Rob R »

This time last year our rented under grazed fields were under 6ft of water, the cows were housed and munching their way through inadequate forage & straw stocks. This year the cows are out, with acres in front of them and we're struggling to find space for the bales in the yard while the trees are still green. We still have challenges aplenty, but you can't beat the feeling that you should have enough food for the winter and don't need to worry about that, at least. I appreciate it all the more after the experience of last winter. Phew!

Yes, it has been a much better summer Rob but our fields are very wet now and the cattle are in most of the time - long winter ahead for us in Wales.
