I had not realised until this afternoon that this site was not connected with DCS but was built and run by Mark.

I may have been alone in this ignorance but I suspect that there are others on here who may not realise that Mark does this out of the goodness of his heart and, I suspect, his love for Dexters.

The purpose of this is to extend a HUGE thanks to him for this site and the effort that I now know he puts into it - for no return. The contacts we have made and the fact that we have Dexters at all is almost entirely related to what we learnt from this site and the contacts that followed so thank you very much indeed Mark for doing this and providing a forum in which we are able to learn so much.

Yes Tim, I will more than agree with all you have said. So many people (myself included) have Mark and his family to thank for the sale of hundreds of cattle over the years, amounting to thousands of pounds. I also LOVE the discussion board.

I do not know of any other cattle breed with a similar site.

However, just one complaint it should come with some sort of health warning as it is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! I do need my daily fix of the discussion board and a quick peek to see what is for sale that day. Mark how many marriages is your site putting under pressure? One partner is constantly late to bed due to 'Dexter Cattle For Sale.' If I cannot sleep in the middle of the night I may come down stairs and have a quick cup of tea, and maybe one more guilty quick fix of "Dexter Porn" at 2am (I know I am not alone as have often seen other users online at 'silly o'clock', you all know who you are!!!)

So Mark huge thanks, and massive Gratitude,but perhaps you need a sister site with Addiction advice. I have tried giving up but just cannot. May try Cannabis instead- probably cheaper too as I have bought quite a few cattle advertised on this site as well!

Sue and myself would also like to extend our thanks to Mark for establishing and running the Dexter Cattle for Sale website. All our surplus cattle over the last 5/6 years have been sold via the site and for prices that reflect their true value. No advertising is a big bonus.

Agree with Lisa the discussion board is addictve and it is good to see topics which were originated by the discussion group included in the bulletin i.e. definition of polled cattle.
