silage taint in meat
has any one eles heard of this, is it a problem in dexters
as i feed mine on silage and hay and staw in seperate ring feeders all year and it seems they prefer silage alittle more
they also get chopped fodder beet and some molassed barley in winter would this taint meat too ?

I have never come across it Stew. The only time I have heard of anything like that was when they used to kill slightly older boars than they should and there would be boar taint on the meat. Other than that I don't think you should have any problem with what you feed. I wait to be corrected.
