This seems a bad year for this disease. We have a lot of rabbits around the place and one 'family' in particular lives up near the house producing regular infants who eventually disappear to other parts of the farm or predators. It doesn't do my plants a great deal of good but generally we rub along OK.

Yesterday I saw just about one of the most heartbreaking scenes with one of the adult pair infected and the other so gently trying to wash his/her eyes trying to make them better.

I'm not particularly sentimental about rabbits (I seem to remember they used to taste very nice in grandmother's rabbit pies) but I truly hope that when the Reckoning comes the evil b*****ds who devised this disease and unleashed it into the countryside will get exactly what they deserve.

The desease is actually a natural occurance Sylvia. It can be released to the rabbit population by artificial means, but it is not a manufactured desease.
