Just downloaded the cat for the York sale, there are 75 dexters enter, not sure how prices will hold up with so many entries, some from people who never sell there normally.

Not sure on the histotics of the York sale but is that the most they have ever had entered, is there one person selling a load.
I fear the worst for the prices as an average average.

I think that as at Melton Mobray, and problably the other rare breeds sales around at the moment, the quantity of animals shouldn't have too big an influence on prices, quality should still shine through and attract the bidders.

If there were a large quantities of lower grade animals they may strugle to meet there sellers expectations though.

As with any auction the balance of buyers/sellers, and the depth of the buyers pockets will set prices.

Will have to wait till the day to see what takes my fancy, top quality beast, or if prices are low do I go for a couple?

If no buyers turn up, I might just have enough money :D

Apparently though some entries have been withdrawn prior to the catalogues being printed, and they have still appeared in there, so perhaps there won't be as many Dexters there.
