Thought I would share a good Halloween style Dexter pic with you all!
My first attempt at taking photos of the Dexters with my new digital camera one evening back in August...
...hmmm...too dark...let's try the flash...
Spooky!!
Now I know how to do the photobucket thing (thanks to Stephanie's great instrcutions!) I'll get some more pics onto the computer and put them on here.
Happy Halloween to all!

Oooo - very artistic Caroline!
We put our heifer that calved a month ago back with the rest of the herd and treated them to a new field here are a few pics.
It looks as if the bull is umpiring the fight!

Hi Saffy lovely pics as usual the dun with the calf looks like she has run a yard to far by the froth on her lip. Probably got carried away by the spirit of the moment.
Carolinel They were very spooky but also quite dramatic. I am going to read Saffy's instructions again to see if I can do it :p

Hello Rob,
I think the captions that can be put on Photobucket are just meant for people browsing Photobucket to see, you are right they don't seem to move with the pics. So you need to add a pic to your post, then write your caption under it, then add another pic and so on - fiddly I know but it works.
I'm looking forward to the next lot of pics you post already!

Hi Helen, I would rather that they didn't have the horns. They are not a problem in so much they don't beat anyone up, but they are a nuisance with the feed barriers.
I used to have a bloke come to dehorn as it was handy but he did a bad job with a lot growing stumps after him. Last year he didn't turn up and then they got forgot ----- till you realise just how much horn the youngsters have and it is too late. So I have bought a dehorner to do the job myself next year, not a problem as I used to do loads years ago. Next nice day I am going out to take some photos of the youngsters ------- Got the bug now :D
Bury hill you look to have a good few dexters with you. What do you do with them?

Well having made up my mind that I definitely wouldn't be buying any more cows - I have bought another cow!!! Her name is Woodmagic Pigeon and she came home last Wednesday. She is in isolation for a fortnight before joining the herd when I shall hopefully get some better pics of her when they go out in the day.
