Sad Farewell to Woodmagic Petrel Ex91

I've had to say a very sad farewell to Woodmagic Petrel Ex91 this week, crying as I type!!! The first ever excellent Dexter cow in the UK. Stunning, clever, and brilliant fun to own, I miss her already! Bred by the great Beryl Rutherford, who rather famously told me.."Yes Stephanie I know you like her - and you can buy her from my estate after my death." So I did....Had her classified at 14 and the rest as they say is history. Beryl called her Split Ear. This magnificent old cow would have been 24 years old in May.

Sad news but Petrel had an exceptional life with you. A lot of cows are lucky to make it to 14. I'm sure her descendants are legion, so you can keep the line going.

Thanks Louisa, I've writena 5 page article over the weekend about her for the NZ Dexter Society, it was so nice that they asked, and she is going on the front cover! Beryl would have loved that!!!
