The main problem we have with showing is that we calve in feb-march, so any calves in an under 12 month class are only a few months old, then as the show year goes on animals change from one class to another, dry cows have calves that are too young to travel or are too near calving etc.

I see that the royal Berkshire Show have amended their results on the Dexter section, there are a lot of spaces in the classes and we don't seem to have had a Reserve Champion or Junior female Champion anymore ????

Oh or have the Royal Berkshire Show got more balls than the DCS council and sorted their results out ????

I see there have been no further comments from Mark on the subject and Carol Ann has stopped trying to make light of the situation nor had anything to say about my previous question directed to her about Norfolk Show ?

Thanks for your work on this work Buryhill, just looked at Newbury results and see results dated 16/12. The DCS should come out with some sort of statement as we are not as all as naïve as they think we are, and what appears to be burying there head in the sand is not an option. Looking at the Newbury results it would appear that where there is no winner listed the 2nd place animal has missed out on prize money.
Its nearly 7 weeks since this subject was first raised on this site so the DCS should surely be in a position to issue a statement.
