Going to collect two heifers tomorrow, Saturday, to bring them back to beautiful Perthshire.
Sorry folks but also have to make a confession. Went to UA Stirling on Wednesday and came back with 6 Shorthorn x Highland stots, a Longhorn x Gloucester stot and 2 Longhorn x Limousine heifers. One of the shorthorn crosses is almost as wee as a Dexter.

Two new Dexter residents for sunny Perthshire. Arrived safe and well.
Mark, The Shorthorn x Highlanders are pretty standard around here and were actually the basis of the Luing breed. All mine look like Highlanders and will be put to grazing a fifteen acre field of extremely rough grazing. The Shorthorn puts an added bit of beef on the highland frame. As far as the Longhorn crosses are concerned the chap who bred them has a pedigree herd of Longhorns but uses the bull accross some of his other cows. Got to say the Longhorn/Lim heifers are really quite nice and well put together. Should make quite good sucklers. They will also be quite hardy, which is one of the main attributes I have been looking for.
