Leaking trough repair

Have a concrete water trough which has a slight leak through the ballcock chamber end, not major just a damp patch on end and small damp area on ground.

Is there anything I can paint the internal end with to seal it?

How about epoxy resin used on boats, if you have a chandlers near you? Amazing stuff. Bit of an overkill, might cost more than the trough !!!
