We had a nice looking Dexter/Welsh Black cross. She looked very Dextery and was no trouble at all while she was with us. Lots of good calves, easy calving and rearing.

They will calve to a WB no problem . i have a friend who puts a Sim to his Dexters and they cope fine. Biggest problem is they grow so fast they have difficulty bending down to get the teats. I will try and post a picture of one Sim X Dex. Watch this space.

Thank you for that. He's a very nice Welsh Black and I have to wait until my older Dexter bull comes to the end (he's 14 and still sound and 100% fertile) before I can realistically buy another whereas the Welsh Black has very little to do at this time of year when I would need him.
