We think we have made a decision to stay in the Warwickshire area so we are looking to rent or possibly buy some land at a later date,
We think up to 20 acres (depending on cost) of mixed farm land for chucks and ducks and a few Dexters, idealy we would like the land to be in the Atherstone area or within a 20 mile radious of north Warwickshire (but we know that lifes not like that) can any member help... please
many thanks

I wish you well in your search for land, Peter & Tina. But be prepared with the smelling salts if you haven't checked land prices recently. Here in Wales they have shot up dramatically in the last few years and this is traditionally a low cost area. Also, around here at least, some chunks of land are being marketed with a claw back clause which means if you ever manage to get permission for development on it the previous owner takes their cut of the profits.

Julie - Have you ever tried www.primelocation.com? There are packages of land coming up every now and again in Shropshire. I've seen a few recently including 10 acres near us, and 40 acres somewhere else, can't recall where, Shrewsbury I think.

A 5 acre holding near me is for sale. The tiny bungalow is livable in but not modern standards. It is £250000. but it has a 50 year 50% clawback on developement. Planning has been refused once for a large developement.
