Anyone hear tonights edition of the Archers?
Sam fancies introducing Dexters to Ambridge!
"They can produce both milk and beef," he says as he admires them at the Royal Show.
Wonder what Phil will think about that?

Certainly did Peter - quite took me by surprise as I was driving home. What a great opportunity for the breed. Tonights repeat is Wednesday at 14-00 or the omnibus Sunday morning at 10-45, Radio 4

Seed was planted about 5 years ago [or maybe longer]. Taken a long time to germinate! Partner of "On your farm" producer is involved in Archers production!

You should be able to access it from BBC on internet I think, but I wouldm't loose any sleep as it is in my opinion a load of anglified pseudo-rustic agricultural soap (or is that hogwash?)
It does have some very dedicated fans on this list of course.

How long has The Archers been running? I remember it was required listening when I was very young, and mother used to say I was born just in time for the programme which I think was on at 6.45pm. Haven't listened to it for ages, although I did live next door to one of the characters about 35 years ago - he sadly died while recording. I suppose it might be like Emmerdale in which I had a passing interest when it was called Emmerdale Farm and actually had a bit of farming content in it.
