A friend (?) has just informed me that all the sheep around here probably have heel mites and that the same mite will also live on cattle. Our local vets don't seem to know anything about this and I was wondering if any of you UK folks have this problem as it seems to like wet climates. My sheep do rub a lot including the rear and I had poor fleeces last year but I don't notice the cows rubbing. Does anyone provide some sort of a back scratcher for their cattle?
