my one year old red heiffer started with a wart on her shoulder about 3 months ago ,i have been told not to worry, but its got a lot bigger and she seems to be getting more in different places even on her lip.i have bought a spray which is supposed to help but has had little effect. any ideas?
i also thought originally it may have been warble fly and treated it for that.

See "Warts again" on page 4, and there was more before that. If you still have question I'll try to help.

Just a wee thought - could it be ringworm rather than warts? just because you say it has got a lot bigger.... warble fly shouldn't be anything like warts. I remember them from my childhood - couldn't put a saddle on my horse until the larva came out near the withers, most unpleasant but again, not at all like warts.
good luck, Jo

Hi,
I had a heifer that was covered in big, ugly warts. She had them for around 6 months. In the last month, all but one of them has dropped off without any help from me.
