I've been asked if I would sell one of my best breeding bulls, and although I had no intention of selling him and planned to use him in the herd for the next few years I did give it serious consideration. Having concluded that we could spare him for a few years until we can rear a son as a replacement I suggested a high price that I fully expected to be too much but the counter offer has reminded me why I don't sell breeding stock - no, my bulls are worth more than my beef price. *Sigh*
