And this is his Mum Woodmagic Merlin 6th at 18 years old, she has never needed a foot trim.
Here is his Dad Woodmagic Hedgehog4th.
Thanks Jac, I have edited this post!!! After reading your suggestion. I had already reduced the size so much that I didn't think it could be THAT!!! But here is the results of reducing the file size - even more...!

I resize them in Paint before uploading the attachment but I don't use photobucket.

Do you think it is simply a size of file issue??? I already resize them down before posting....do you think make them even smaller file size but the same shape?

This is 448 pixels wide but is the whole of the photo with none cut off. I think perhaps your photos are too big?

Here is another different shape. This one doesn't seem to quite fit but there are scrolling bars but if you click it you can see the full picture. I think you have created a link to photobucket and not an attachment.

Thanks to Jac for getting me posting pics again!
I am SO pleased with this calf out of old Merlin - bless her. I only bought her last year and she was no "Spring Chick" then - and we all know that you never get what you want if you want a heifer you get a bull...Well my absolute ideal from her was a dun bull to hopefully keep as stock bull and the Old Darling got it spot on!!!
Anyway I'm hoping this thread might inspire other pics of calves...Mature cows that are still looking good. Or even mature cows and calves. I am a big fan of any cow that can make it to her late teens, still have a half decent udder, good legs and feet ....and produce a calf every year. That is the one you need to breed from and keep a heifer from, SHE has proven herself in EVERY way. There was a thread on Facebook about culling for age and I said then that I would never cull for age, as if they had made it to a good age with everything still correct, they were doing an excellent job, obviously have all the things we are trying to breed for and may well be your best cow!

He's a beautiful shade of dun - I wish there were more duns in the breed, I enjoy the variety.

Me too Rob, I haven't got many duns, last cow is Petrel and I don't know if she will calve again...which is why I wanted a dun bull, so hopefully I eventually can breed some more!

We've only had 3 duns in 19 years so getting a dun bull producing two in one year has been great.

And here is the calf that Beryl wanted to buy Steph to re-introduce a red into her herd - sadly she didn't make it. Yes, it is a short.

That is a very nice calf Jac...no wonder Beryl liked it! Many of her starter animals were short, so I'm not totally surprised.
