Society Accounting

I'm having some trouble with the VAT accounting system used by the Society & wondered if I am the only one? Because they use receipts instead of issuing VAT invoices the VAT record doesn't match reality. Recently I received a receipt with a negative VAT total and a NET total larger than the gross. As if this wasn't enough to confuse the records, I also added up the ( on paper) registration totals and it comes to 1.2 more than the actual number of registrations. I guess it doesn't matter if you're not VAT registered but it doesn't look like the DCS is a very professional breed society IMO.
