Thank you Mark for the link to McCartneys website.

It looks like there are some outstanding cattle and bloodlines - something to suit everyone I would imagine!

I especially like the photos of the stock in the catalogue (especially the herd photo of the cattle relaxed in the yard/field - they look lovely, my mouth is watering already!

I have seen some of these cattle in the flesh at shows and they are superb, I have had the privilege of awarding Champion Rosettes to several of them.

Hope to catch up with everyone at the sale.

Best Wishes

Lisa Bell

hello everyone, whats the tb procedure for animals at this sale? they will be from a tb 4 years but going to a tb 1 year and will be there overnight. so is it a standstill for 60 days on return to their new homes with a premovement test?? That's what last weeks farmers guardian says if I,ve read it right. it,s all a load of b......s, if you ask me. was going to go national show, something else to ruin shows!! moan over jean.

I'm guessing the prices will be higher at Worcester rather than having an on farm disperal or a local one but it's put me off going, especially so soon after York and just before Pampas. I might go if I can weave it in with other commitments but I doubt I'll be in a position to buy.

There are very few chances to purchase show animals and genuinely excellent breeding stock.
With so many animals on offer, there really will be something for everyone and at prices to suit all pockets.
With a careful well thought out breeding plan I have seen this herd improve over the last 20 years to the excellent herd it is today. It is not often you see 20 heifers in a yard looking like peas in a pod.
It is a real shame to see the herd dispersed ,but it will give breeders a chance to purchase new stock and any new breeders to have a head start on good foundation stock.

I wasn't going to Lisa - but you've got me thinking now...I would love it and it would be nice to meet you. I'm supposed to go to a family thing that day, I will see if I can postpone and go on the Sunday. :)

I would just like to wish Graham and Sam all the best for tomorrow. I think the day will be an " event" in the dexter history similar to the Knightsway dispersal sale back in 2008. For any dexter members out there with no intention of buying anything then think about going, there will be lots of chances to meet up with old friends and new, plus a chance to see Linear Assessed cattle that were only scored on Monday.
