Following the sychronisation and insemination of my cows and heifers last year calving is now imminent (29th June). However, as previously posted one of the cows did not 'take' first time (nothing unusual in that) and approx two months later was inseminated again, this time with a double dose after which she did not 'bull' again. However, looking at the size of her and her bag there is no way she is going to go another two months so must have been in calf to the first insemination
This is not the first time we have experienced cows bulling following mating but not to the extent that they continue to 'bull' strongly on three consecutive occasions. I wonder how many cows/heifers have been deemed barren when they are not?

One of my cows sometimes shows bulling right up until she calves.

Not too bad if you are running a bull with them but dreadfully expensive with the AISaffy wrote:One of my cows sometimes shows bulling right up until she calves.
