Does anyone know the whereabouts of the following:-
F32603 Woodmagic Squab UK364848 400145 F OWN10 435 Alive 14/08/2007
OWN10 is effectively a miscellaneous designation where the DCS was notified of the sale by a member but have no records as to who bought it.
Thanks
Tim

Thanks Rob.
Out of interest, how did you find that out? I can't see that on the herd book.

I searched for the eartag on CTS online - it's one of the options in the right hand menu. It doesn't give you holding numbers but it does give the date of moves to different holdings and which county they were in.

on the same theme on CTS you can check the calving history of any cattle you own, or have owned. Usefull for cattle that havent had all there offspring registered or birth notified.

I've just been using this to check the history of some animals I've seen advertised - it's very interesting to learn that prize-winning show animals have managed to attain prizes without ever leaving the farm...

I guess the possibility of genuine mistakes didn't cross my mind, but I thought about the possibility of passing one's prizes off as another, but even if you did buy on that basis, you're bound to twig when you look at the passport. I tend to check them for an idea of their TB status when advertised as being from a 4 yr area you never know if that was for the whole of it's life or for the previous week.
