Dexter Cattle For Sale Discussion Board

There are 40 dexter cattle for sale tomorrow at Melton Market starting at 12.30 these are dispersals of two herds
First herd from a Mr Dixon of lutterworth I think 10 cows with calves plus 4 female followers all I think clear of bull. A few of older cows are registered pedigree,some originated from Clearview herd. Herd has been run commercially
The other herd used for visitor attraction from Cromer 21 cattle in total 10 cows with calves at foot calving mostly April onwards being run with bull so should be back incalf.Again 2-3 of older cows 2003 being oldest are registered most of cows 2009-2010 one 2011. 2 older heifers march 2012 not incalf. Stockman will be available to answer questions-this herd is mainly short.

Just had a quick look and there are only two pedigrees available with the Norfolk cows which was disappointing and they were ten years old.

Didn't have time to look at the others (all black except for a red steer calf) but I was told that none of the calves are registered.
