I asked for a quote for our Stabiliser when we bought him, it came in at £600 (from memory so could well be wrong!). As he was £3,000 I did think about doing it for just the first year, but changed my mind and didn't go ahead. Seemed very expensive to me. But if the bull had been £6-8,000, I'd have probably done it, maybe that's what it is intended for?

Thanks Clive,
I vaguely remember asking about it before and think it was expensive for cost of bull involved so I left it. It was for a bull I was hiring out.
Maybe swopping bull on a two year loan and other owner suggested it might be worth looking into, sounds like it could not be feasible but will have to chase Nfu unless anybody can suggest another insurer.

Farmers & Mercantile? - we use them for third party insurance on our herd.

That was who my £600 quote was from
. They are generally good though, been with them for some years now.

We use Cliverton for our liability insurance. They are really helpful and quite reasonable.
