hello everyone, hope alls well,we have had a well bad time, not going to moan on about it, but 2 things wer my beautful little show heifer was killed by a bully cow at 2 months old and heathers little show cow dropped dead yesterday,so on saying that has any one got any show stock for sale thanx jean
Can't help with the heifer but, you're not alone; we've got off to a bad start with calving. A first time heifer looks to have had a dead calf and the poor girl has cleaned it in vain. We had a similar start to lambing with the first lamb being rejected, followed by the mother dying a couple of weeks later. Only lost one lamb since & the lambs are doing well so I'm hoping it's the same with the Dexters.
Zanfara Twinkleberry is still available, red non-short, horned, now bulling heifer. Shown once, Wolsingham 2012, 1st place in class of five. PM for up to date photo & further details.
How much are you wanting for Twinkleberry now Louisa? I've been hoping on the opportunity of coming to take her off your hands but having a few hundred spare and the time to take a trip up North never seem to coincide. I was supposed to be buying some steers up that way, and would have just had a heifer sized space in the trailer but it fell through when they decided to keep them.
I have a couple of showable short black heifers for sale, just weaned and about to be TB tested. I have not haltered them unfortunately as i had 6 shorts last year, none this year yet, i suppose i have used up my lucky quota!!
