foot trimming

does anyone know what the going rate is for having cows feet trimmed
in the yorkshire area we paid £25 per dexter last year which we thought
was a bit expensive

We pay a call-out charge, then so much per cow. Overall it comes to around the figure you mention. Our call-out charge is about £60 and payable even if they don't do anything (which never happens in reality).

I pay £10 plus vat and £20 + vat travelling , it might be more if I only had the one done, bulls are a bit more, I think he charges £25 + vat for mature bulls.

Correction, just looked at my last bill and it comes to around £15-18 a cow all in, but that's someone spending a whole day and doing a good batch. Also that's 2 people in the crew and I do nothing (except make endless cups of tea :) ).

the man who does ours charges £10 per cow, sometimes less if just tidying up a youngster, and £10 for petrol, he uses our crush.
