Dexter Cattle For Sale Discussion Board

Had a strange call from a guy looking to buy my bull advertised on this site. It was just odd and his story, well i could not follow it.
but basically he needed some cattle to kill for the 20th oct. the more he said the more the halal butcher scenario seemd to be more likely.

I priced myself out of the job, but he then said to me did i know anyone else with any stock for sale. i said did they have to be dexters he said " well dexters are usually the CHEAPEST"

insult to injury or what. the sad trueth.

its everyone choice if they choose to sell to halal, but i find it quite unpleasant.

We have had the same man call about our steers, we would not sell to him either he came to see them and asked could we deliver them yet was unable to give his address or postcode said he had forgot however if we were prepared to let him have the cattle and deliver to brimingham area he would text the postcode when we were on the way. He was told in as nice a way as possible to get lost, no animals will leave us to go to halal. Cant understand why this cruel method of killing livestock is allowed to carry on in this country, when we have farmers taken to court by Trading Standards when their cattle are feeding round ring feeders in a bit of mud, after we have had the worst weather in 30 years.

It's because most legal halal slaughter is stunned, and illegal halal is done illegally.
