Just a quick reminder that it is York Sale this Saturday 6th October.

With regret my cattle will not be forward (Needles Hall Herd, Munn and Bell). I am VERY SORRY for any inconvenience this may cause.

Wishing all buyers and Sellers a very successful weekend.

Best Wishes

Lisa Bell.

Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to put the prices up Rob, much appreciated.

No problem, I wasn't making the mistake again of expecting the market to do it.

He was OK, not what you would call amazing, nor would you say he was bad. A good sized animal in working condition, would have made more if he'd been younger.

There were some nice animals in the sale and quite a few that I missed out on by a bid or two (the trouble being that my budget, and winter forage, is rather limited, not that they weren't worth another bid, particularly Zanfara Clarita. And also No. 11 which I would have taken if she'd been long legged.

Steers & young bulls were good prices with a couple of determined buyers, but not the four or so who were there last year.

Thanks for the kind words about Zanfara Clarita. Her half sister Zanfara Twinkleberry is still available, also red, halter trained, good teat placements, shown once 1st out of 5. Should have gone to Carlisle sale but had suspected ringworm so not forward.

Ooh, tempting...

Do you still have the dun steer that was for sale at foot with Rebecca?

Ah, never mind, I was just trying to justify it (to myself). Probably not the best decision to be buying more stock this side of winter anyway. :(

Just seen her picture in the sales list - she looks smart, I wish I had the money burning a hole in my pocket, but my wife seems to think that getting a roof on the cowshed should be more of a priority. :(
