cattle crush

dear all, anyone interested in a crush, one for sale on preloved, looks new. bit expensive 1700.00 no vat, we got ours at a farm sale, 20.00 does a great job, thanx jean

Preloved a great site - often quite alot of Dexter cattle on there as well as other livestock and equipment

That does sound a bit expensive as an IAE dexter crush was under £1000 new including vat last time I looked.

I think that crush is one of their big ones. We use an IAE Warrior, about £850 + VAT I guess nowadays. It's smaller and narrower but struggles with big cattle.

I've just agreed to pay £845 +VAT for the IAE yearling/dexter crush, galvanized from Allans of Gillock in Inverness.

One thing to bear in mind with cattle crushes at farm sales is that ones with rotten bottoms can sometimes be picked up for scrap or very little money and cut down for dexters without much trouble, though budget a couple of hundred pounds for new steel and timber for new bottom.
