Cheeky or what!

Post by Saffy »

At first glance you would assume that this dun heifer was suckling her mum but her mum is the old dun cow behind! I did a double take when I went to walk the dogs this morning as at first her own black bull calf was on the other side! She will have a shock later today as she is getting weaned!!! They have only been together a couple of weeks and the black calf was about 6 weeks old then.

Nice backside, but she would have wouldn't she, given that split in her old mother's ear!

Yes - Old Split Ear is still going on OK, a few grey hairs on her face these days though, showing her age a bit like the rest of us!

Skylark - the one suckling is now cooling her heels in the shed with a few friends, not an udder in sight.
