new style passport

Post by debra wiltshire »

Received our first new style passports this week, never thought I would say that I miss the old ones :? For safe storage can anyone recommend a filing system where you can keep passport sheet and pedigree together.
Maybe that could be a new item for the society to source and sell?

Hi

How about a ring binder with A4 plastic inserts for passports and then A3 plastic inserts for Pedigree certificate. Hopefully that would keep all documents together.

didnt know you could get A3 plastic covers...will obviously have to got to a better class of stationers and see what they sell. I suppose as the passports comes folded already and then becomes the same size as the pedigree they could be kept together.
Obviously have not got anything else to do at the moment..best get outside and find a job!

I have my old style passport insured for £50 each, but I wonder how much the new ones cost to replace if lost or destroyed?

Our new style passports are in A4 two ring binders each in its own A4 plastic insert....the pedigree certificates are in an A5 two ring binder. You will get both A4 and A5 plastic inserts from W H Smith.

PS: A3 size is double A4, so they'll be too big.

DCS did have A5 two ring binders in maroon with society logo on front for pedigree certificates. Contact Sue in the office to see if they still supply them.

Hello,

thanks for all the info...yes, Sue advised that there only a few left but you can still buy the DCS A5 folder from the society...I now have a posh one winging its way to me...
