Linear Classification - Kernow Herd Cornwall

Post by dizzydex »

What a brilliant day! TB clear and Linear Classification completed on 3 heifers and my lovely bull Arnold.

Rattycombe Arnold scored EX90 (parent verified + BD1-N)
Finwood Demelza scored GP84 (BD1-N)
Finwood Rosehip scored GP82 (BD1-N)
Kernow Rehana scored VG85 (BD1-N)

So pleased, we will now be advertising Arnie for hire and have a 2 young heifers forsale out of Damelza and Rehana

For anyone thats thinking about Linear Classification I can highly recommend it as a way of assessing your herd :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Well done Julie, first one to classify down your neck of the woods, you are leading from the front.
Well done on your bull score, to get an EX is the top catagory, he must be nice. That makes 5 bulls that have classified EX to my knowledge.
Anyone who wants to now hire your bull could ask you for the full scores and understand what he looks like without even seeing him.
Just a point, you may have got your scores mixed up in the excitement, VG starts at 85 to 89 inclusive, Good Plus (GP) starts at 80 to 84 inclusive.
Well done

Thank you Steph and Mark. In my excitement your right I got carried away and I have now edited it ! It was a very positive experience for someone, such as myself, who is fairly new to keeping Dexters. I have been fortunate enough to be guided towards good stock and this proved it. Mike who carried out the test was very informative, patient and gave constructive feedback that I could understand. :)
Best wishes
