N.E Dexter Group Calf show Sat 12th Nov
The N.E Aberdeen Angus Group hold their annual calf show at Thirsk Auction Mart each year and they are trying to build it up to include all the other breeds as well. we have been invited to join them this year along with several others breeds so it should be a good day out if anyone in the area is interested in coming along. So far I think they have the Blondes, Charolais, Limousin's Belgian Blues, south Devons and Dexters. Each breed will run its own calf show, but the child handling competition is open to all under 18 yr olds. The cafe will be open and it will be serving cooked roast lunches plus burgers, sandwiches etc and their food is all home cooked. We are running a raffle and hopefully we will have a nice turn out of dexters for anyone interested in learning more about the breed or just coming to chat to like minded people.
