Its a bit early to call it but the targetting of active farmers could result in an increased demand for dexters.

i get the impression that the suckler cow will be coupled to some form of payment and this should benefit the low maintenance breeds

Interesting thought pudser. There is talk of future payments being restricted to "active" farmers, so it does make you wonder how they are going to define "active" and also, maybe degrees of active? Maybe it could be numbers of cows / sheep etc.
