Hello
Is there anything to be concerned about a heifer who has not yet lost her summer coat? She is 2 and half..

Probably most of mine are still carrying slight winter coat. Horses as well. Out of those, the ones that have held on to a lot of their winter coat without doubt the ones who are not on top form. On vet advice I am bolusing all of mine next week with a mineral bolus, can't remember the name, but it does copper, selenium, etc.

Ours vary considerably, some are looking very scrappy, although others are silky black, do the reds take longer to look better ?
In Yorkshire our grass is still patchy in places, but some help from the rain last week has provided momentum

Most of mine that had winter coat retention have now lost it almost entirely in the last week or so, just a few whispers here and there still. But two of mine, that are clearly not 100% well, have retained a lot of coat. So if she still has a lot of coat, I'd speak to my vet. My vet saw my two this week and she recommended blood tests and mineral boluses.
