The full results from York for all breeds can now be viewed on thier website.
Top Dexter Price was short legged Northbrook Bluebell at 730gns.
Top non short female was Frisby Janet at 560gns
Non short bull got to 600gns but did not sell.
Lowest price was 180gns for a 2 year old heifer with 4 month old steer at foot. Both Horned, unregistered and in very poor condition.
Unregistered steer,nonshort,11 months,and mad as a hatter!sold for 230gns.
The Majority of cattle were not halter trained.

I think the prices were about what they should have been.
Mr Payne who was dispersing his herd had some good non short breeding cows with calves at foot, ideal for a beef herd.

There are now several new Dexter Breeders having bought thier first Dexter on saturday. Good Luck to those.
We really enjoyed the weekend and met some very nice people.
Best Wishes
