There are various abattoirs that do OTM bulls. ABP is one example, and they have abattoir in quite a few places I believe. The last two bulls I sent to ABP last year, I got £700 for the 8 year old and £600 for a 3-4 year old. Both non-short. To book into ABP you have to be farm assured with FABBL/EFSIS.

PM me if you want more info.

send them to your local market, they will find a ready market, but at alot less than Clives £700 more likely 3-400.

At just 30months i would have a go at selling the meat. the oldest bull we finished was just 20months but it was good.

Trish, A picture is worth a thousand words so here's a pic of the one I got £600 for (net of costs) last year. He was well within breed standard height-wise. He was showing off to a load of girls in the photo.

What about the Beef Scheme? They must want bulls and OTM for meat pies maybe. Ask the society. £1.80 - 2.00 a kilo deadweight is pretty much bottom line for me OTM. You'll be amazed at the weight of bulls. The one in the pic was nearly 300kg deadweight.
